October 2011 Paper Crafting & Scrapbooking Challenges!

Posted by ScrapGoo (Jess):

Happy October... happy fall! The weather still doesn't know what to do with itself around here but that doesn't mean I don't know what to do with MYself!  And that's papercrafting and gearing up for all the wonderful holidays coming up in the next few months.

That's right... you know it's about that time to start thinking about all your holiday gift giving and creating.  Start with these challenges for some inspiration and don't forget to come play with us at the crop on October 14th-16th!

Remember:
- only one LO per challenge will enter you into the points drawing
- LOs cannot be entered into more than one challenge category
- *please* only enter LOs that meet the specific challenge instructions

All About Me Challenge - By millmomma (Brittney)
Paper or Digi

It is October and full of fright! It is the month of Halloween fun. With all the fun comes superstitious beliefs. For this months AAM I want to know are you superstitious? I kinda am in some ways. If you are how so? If not why? Tell us all about it.

Movie Buff Challenge - By Mommybruno (Cassie)
Paper or Digital Scrapbooking

For this challenge we'll be drawing our inspiration from a movie. I will supply you with the movie and a pic of the movie poster. The rest is up to you. And there is lots of inspiration available - from the poster, the title, the soundtrack, the theme of the movie, the actors, movie quotes, you name it! Just be sure to note in your description what it was that inspired your layout.

This month's movie is Sleepless in Seattle, a personal fave of mine. So romantic! Here is the movie poster:

When it was time to create my LO, I found inspiration in several different places. The design of the poster, with the split photos, inspired me to split my photo groupings. And of course the song, which I believe plays in both the opening and closing credits, is As Time Goes By. Love that song! And it made a perfect title that worked well with the theme of my page. And that was my last bit of movie-inspired scrapping - there are some really good friendships in the movie and I wanted to scrap some of my own. Where will you find your inspiration?
