SPRING is almost here AND we have a new Guest Designer!  Please help us welcome Sara as our March 2015 Guest Designer of the month.

Screenname:  Sara M.

My crafty supply must have: I am a scrapbooking diva and must have 2- patterned papers and enamel dots

Guilty pleasures:  Cupcakes and podcasts

BIO:  Married for 16 years with 2 boys and 2 dogs.  In my life the primary hat I wear is that of caregiver.  My eldest son has high functioning autism.  My youngest also has some pretty rough health issues.  A number of years ago we opened our home to my grandparents, who are both in their 80's, and I am their primary caregiver.

And my job?  I work in home healthcare and I am a caregiver there as well.  Caregiving is hard sometimes.  Scrapbooking and cardmaking  are my therapy - period.  It is what keeps a smile on my face when I've had one of "those" days.

Product Review: Scrapbooking With Kaiser Craft's Up, Up and Away

sus
Scrapbooking with 'Sus' (aka: Suslvgeo)

Sus is ACOT's Community Director of Events as well as being an active member of our Creative Team.  This month, Sus worked with Kaiser Craft's 'Up, Up and Away' line.  The collection features muted colors with bold attention to texture and detail.

'Heart Waffles' by Suslvgeo

Here's what Sus had to say about designing the 'Heart Waffles' layout:

'Cole and his grandparents have a long standing tradition of making heart shaped waffles whenever they are together. I so wanted to get a picture but completely did not think about the background while I was taking it. My focus on this page was to try to put a lot of elements to one side as to draw away for the busy background of the picture, while still keeping focus on the actual reason for taking the picture.'

Scrapbooking Product Review: Lush by Kaiser Craft

SarahA
Scrapbooking with SarahA

Here's what SarahA had to say about creating with KaiserCraft's 'Lush' line:

'KaiserCraft's new Lush line is a great fit for so many photos! The colors are very neutral, which make them coordinate well with outdoors, vacation and masculine layouts. There are a variety of patterns in this line, in addition to a few stamp sets, some chipboard and rub-ons. I also love the little Journaling Tag booklet- they're great for layering, journaling and titles!'

This line offers coordinating die cut sheets, journal tags, rub-ons and stamps.  The muted colors are great for paper crafters who enjoy bringing attention to the subject matter rather than the paper or embellishment used.
