All About Me Challenge by milmomma (Brittney)

(paper, digital, or hybrid challenge)

This months AAM Challenge is all about a typical day. Tell us your favorite part, or tell me what your usually day is, or whatever you want to tell me about your day. I chose to give a photo story of my typical Tuesday with a touch of journaling telling about my favorite part.

Trends and Techniques Challenge by Megamay (Meg)

Chevron (or zig zag) is everywhere these days. So this month I challenge you to use some chevron on your layout. You can use paper that has chevron on it, or create your own. Ive seen a couple different tutorials on how to create chevrons. Here is one from Jess Mutty showing you how to make your own chevron pattern using triangles. http://scrapgoo.blogspot.com/2011/12/fresh-air.html
and here is my example. I used some amy tangerine paper that was preprinted with chevrons.

Scraplifting Great Ideas From Our Gallery!

Posted by Keling (Sara):

They say, "Immitation is the highest form of flattery."

I know I can say for myself, as well as for the rest of the Creative Team, we are all thankful for our position on the team. We know there is so much talent and inspiration around, especially on our very own boards. So we thought it would so much fun to pick out some awesome layouts from the gallery that we could scraplift.

You'll see that some picked paper layouts and even layouts in different orientations, as well. Sometimes you might find that you want to copy it almost exactly, while other times its just small bits that stick out to you. But no matter what, you can always find inspiration in the gallery!

Brittney (milmomma), Jenn (SarahWhithers) and Sara (Keling) each selected three different layouts to lift, while Cassandra (mommybruno) and Laura (Art_Teacher) also decided to join in the fun.

Laura (Art_Teacher) lifted this adorable page by scrapperatheart. She shared: "For this reveal we were to scraplift someone from the GP. I chose this gorgeous layout by scrapperatheart: Recipe for Success. I think it is amazing and I hope I did it even half as well as she did!"

Sara's layout is a lift of fong33's layout, "Family." She said: "The photo in this page is what totally captures you, in Fong33's page. In my page, the photo may not be so hot - it was actually taken by my 8 year old - but it is a great glimpse of my funny furbaby, Abby, who loves to cuddle under the covers!"

Jenn (sarahwhithers) also did three different scraplifts. Her first is a lift of a layout by GRACEpunches5. Jenn shared: "For the digi CT reveal this week we're scraplifting you talented ladies out there! Where else can we get such awesome inspiration other than the ACOT gallery?! For my first page I've scraplifted GRACEpunches5 and her page called Childhood Memories (which you can also see above). I loved her use of whitespace and 3 small pics, so I did it too!"

Card Challenge - By bluejeans7 (Angela)

Paper or Digital Scrapbooking

I remember back when tags were the "in" thing for scrapbooking. So if you are like me then you have a ton of leftover tags in your stash. So it's time to dig out those old tags for this month's card challenge. I want you to create an Easter card with at least one tag on it.

Die Cut Challenge - By Dianedi (Diane)

Paper  Scrapbooking

For the April die-cutting challenge, create a card or layout with your die-cutting machine using ovals as your inspiration! Think Easter Eggs! Create the ovals with a Cricut, Sizzix, Silhouette etc... Be sure to tell us what machine/cartridges that you've used! I've created an Easter card as an example, but you create a card or layout that isn't Easter themed! Have fun!

Faithbooking Challenge - By Keling (Sara)

Paper or Digital Scrapbooking

April Faithbooking Challenge - "Faith"

My favourite definition for faith is from a song by Michael Card: "To hear with my heart, To see with my soul, To be guided by a hand I cannot hold, To trust in a way that I cannot see, That's what faith must be."

Grab more scrapbooking inspiration by viewing this month's complete Challenge List for April!  After creating your project, be sure to submit it to the corresponding Challenge section of our Gallery.

Die Cut Challenge - By Dianedi (Diane)

Paper  Scrapbooking

Using your Cricut or other die-cutting machine such as the Sizzix or Silhouette, create a project you can use for decoration or gift-giving during the holidays. (frame, placecard, etc...)

There must be a least 3 elements on your project using the die-cutting machine. Please list the machine and cartridges you've used! For my project, I've created a fun place card to use during the holidays. Have fun!
