October - Breast Cancer Awareness Month

Unfortunately, odds are in today's world we have all been affected either directly or indirectly by Cancer.  Our A Cherry On Top Family is no exception.  Please take a moment to read Kristin's Story.  October marks the official national Breast Cancer Awareness month.  It's a time where there is a strong focus on self-exams and being proactive in our over all health.  The best defense for any fight with this disease is early detection.  To find out more information or ways to become involved in the hunt for a cure, visit the National Breast Cancer and the American Cancer Society websites.

I am an advocate for Breast Cancer Awareness.
I have been to several Relays for Life.
I have a sister in law that is a 3 time cancer survivor. I lost a niece to cancer last Dec.
Cancer is a brutal beast that will strike anywhere and to anyone. I can not stress the importance of routine check ups to ensure the health of yourself and to encourage those that you love to also be up to date on their check ups as well. My message is to just be aware that you can make a difference by just having routine exams!! <3
