Ann gets her inspiration from anything and everything around her! She's been scrapping for ten years and has been a member of our ACOT family for nearly 5 years, now.

What is a favorite technique that you like to use?

Lately I have been really getting into distressing.

When and where do you create your layouts?

I have a little cubby that is a home office/scrappy area. I work two jobs, so I rarely have the energy to scrap during the week. Usually Sundays are my scrapbook days unless I am lucky enough to get out to a crop.

What is a favorite layout of yours and why?

I have not found a LO of mine that has completely satisfied me. I think I’m still trying to ‘find my mojo’.

Name 3 of your favorite embellishments to work with. Human hair, goldfish crackers, and gum chewed by celebrities.

What are your favorite adhesives? I’ve rigged up my ATG to dispense grape jam. I find it makes a less-expensive and tasty adhesive.

What is your top two fave holidays? My birthday and my birthday. I don’t like to share holidays with other people or religious figures. Or leprechauns.

CHA Wrap Up--With Pics!

Kristin and I are back from CHA. What a trip! The Orlando Convention Center is one of the largest we’ve ever be in. When filled, it probably surpasses the populations of most small towns. Crazy!

We had a blast seeing and buying the newest releases and seeing the faces behind many of our favorite manufacturers.

The highlight?

Why hanging with members of our Creative Team and our ACOT Message Board, of course!

What an amazing turn out for our Meet-N-Greet. Much appreciation goes to Pam and Sus for helping us re-organize the meeting. Being ‘newbies’ to Orlando, it was a little harder than we thought to find a suitable place that opened before 6pm. We had a fantastic time. Tons of pictures were taken. I’m including some here, but you can view even more on our Message Board!

At CHA-Summer and Loving It!

We made it! Right now we're sitting in our hotel room taking care of last minute details for our Meet-n-Greet tomorrow and all of the rep appointments during the show!

So much to do and so much to see.

We're also gearing up for an incredibly busy day as the show officially 'opens' tomorrow. In the past, bag pipers serenade attendees as the flood of people stream through the doors onto the show floor.

It's really a crazy site to see! Attendees consist of vendors, retailers, designers and general craft-o-holics. Imagine being in one location surrounded by thousands of people who share your love of crafting.

We'll be shooting and sharing pics and letting you know the fantastic lines we order throughout the week. For immediate 'CHA newsbreaks', be sure you're following us on Twitter!

Heading To CHA-Summer!

Twice a year, Kristin and I get to pack up our gear and head to what many believe to be a Crafter's Paradise (commonly known as the CHA show). How lucky are we? To be among the first to see and TOUCH the newest and the greatest scrapbooking and crafting products out there?

Yeah. We sorta like what we do.

CHA-Summer will be held in Orlando for the next few years. We're planning to meet some of you at the Meet-n-Greet scheduled for Tuesday night (July 28th). We can't wait! It'll be so nice to catch up with our Creative Team and Message Board buddies! Be prepared to laugh a lot, be silly and take a ton of pictures!

Things will be fast and furious next week. I will try to post as many updates and CHA 'news' as possible here on Cherry Bits.

What a beautiful summer we're having in Mid-Michigan! I'm not a fan of hot weather, so these mild summer temperatures suit me just fine. I just got back from a week-long camping trip with the kids & other family members. We had a great time -- imagine spending a week with 43 members of your extended family.

Can you believe CHA Summer is only 16 days away? It seems like only last month Kristin and I were hopping on a puddle jumper to catch our flight from Detroit to LA. Time flies!

Manufacturers are steadily releasing little teasers of upcoming releases. Of course, most are offering products with Fall/Winter themes. Fall is my favorite season because warm, rich colors are so prevalent in fashion and design. From what I can tell, our industry will be bursting with deep shades this Fall!

What we're also seeing is a lot of releases for the big or little guys in your life. We all know how difficult it is to find that perfect product with a masculine touch on a consistent basis. I think this Fall will provide a lot more choices!
