One act can change the world.

Together, we can make a positive change in the lives of many women and children - families just like ours. Let's do it together.

ACOT will donate $1.00 to womenforwomen.org for every piece of For You jewelry sold. This organization helps thousands of women in developing countries secure employment and establish their own income-generating businesses.

We are constantly amazed at our talented Creative Team and are as proud as punch when others recognize their inspiring abilities!  Earlier this week, My Mind's Eye spotlighted Megan's 'The Best Thing' layout in the A Cherry On Top Gallery and in her 'So Sophie - Savvy' Product Review.  You can view the spotlight on MME's 'Caught Our Eye' Blog.

Here's what Megan had to say about working with the MME So Sophie - Savvy products:

'Lately I have been drawn to lots of pinks, purples and girly products, but when I saw the So Sophie Savvy line from My Mind's Eye, I decided that it was definitely time to break out of my rut. I love the serene blues and greens, and the reds and oranges give an unexpected zip to everything!'

Megan has a lot of great layout and paper crafting ideas in her article.  Be sure to view the entire review at A Cherry On Top.

Boy Goodnight Orange
'Boy Goodnight Orange Stripe' by Little Yellow Bicycle

Here's what Angela had to say about working with the Snugglebug Boy line:

'When I think of the company Little Yellow Bicycle I think of embellishments galore!  Little Yellow Bicycle always seem to have so many different kinds of embellishments to pick from with each line.  The Snugglebug Boy line is no different.  After I decided to go with the Snugglebug Boy line the hardest part for me was narrowing down my embellishment picks.'

Scarlet Core
Scarlet Wallpaper Core Essentials

Pam says, 'I absolutely fell in LOVE with the green cardstock embossed with the alphabet.   I had pictures from my recent trip to Anna Maria Island (the best breakfast of my entire LIFE).  I sanded the cardstock to reveal the letters e n j o y.  I then used a mix of old and new Jenni Bowlin embellishments to finish the layout.  I wanted the layout colorful and happy, just like I was that day on the beach!'

Celebrating Fathers!

You might see an increase in the amount of ads for barbecue grills, ties and khaki shorts around this time of year, but in general, Father's Day is not the globally celebrated and proclaimed holiday Mother's Day seems to be.

The Scrapbooking industry has a majority female following.  We are the photographers; the 'Journalers'; the nurturers; the history keepers.  We seem to be a little more emotionally charged.  Maybe that's why Mother's Day gets so much attention.  Women probably just care about it more.

What I Love About You
'What I Love About You' by Dianedi

However, lets not forget the importance of the Father!  After all, it takes two to tango and we wouldn't be here without them!  Don't forget the 'dad' in your life this Father's Day!  Celebrate with tickets to the game, socks with horrific patterns and lots and lots of meat thrown over fire!

Most importantly, let them know how much we need them!  Happy Father's Day - Dads!

Jump Into Our June Challenges!

The sun is out.  The heat is up.  The kids are home!  Why not grab some fantastic project ideas from one of our June Challenges to help ward off that dreaded  'I'm bored' mantra soon to be heard from kids around the country this summer!

Card Challenge - By bluejeans7 (Angela)
Paper or Digital Scrapbooking

One of my favorite techniques is distressing. I totally love the look and I think it's a great technique to use when you are creating masculine cards. So this month you need to use distressing on a Father's Day card. Sanding, inking, tearing, etc......

Countdown Challenge - By sarahwhithers (Jennifer)
Paper or Digital Scrapbooking

For this challenge you will create a layout using a countdown method of items. I will list five different kinds of things (eg. elements, papers, photos) for you to use in your layout. Every month there will be five new items for you to use. This month I thought of summer and being outside by the pool!

5 - star elements
4 - lines of journaling
3 - wavy elements (can be a flourish, wavy strings or ribbons, anything as long as it's wavy!)
2 - pictures
1 - water themed item (can be an element, paper, picture, anything as long as it related to water)

You are welcome to use more than these items (eg. 5 lines fo journaling instead of 4 is fine) just as long as you meet the required list and numbers asked for each. A page example is seen below.

Trends & Techniques Challenge - By Megamay (Meg)
